So today the Jellybean had her first vaccines and so far she is doing just fine. She is a little more sleepy that normal at this time of the evening, but other wise is she her normal happy little self. Of course, I could not be happier, she never even made a sound with any of the FOUR shots she got today. Yes, these are her first vaccines as I refused the Hep B vaccine in the hospital when she was first born and she will not be receiving her Hep B series until she is at least a year old. I spoke with her doctor about my concerns about newborns receiving the Hep B series and Dr. B agrees with me. Since we are not in a high risk group and will not be traveling to the Far East or Central and South America any time soon, there is no reason for a newborn to have to undergo a Hep B series. Thus the Jellybean will have one less vaccine series to undergo, at least for now anyway.

She is growing like a weed. She is now 12 lbs 9 oz and 23 in long. She is in the 90% for weight and 75% for lenght and head circum. I still cannot believe that she is mine. Sometimes I wonder when "they're" going to come and take her away, telling me my time is up, you know what I mean??? It just doesn't seem possible that she is mine. I look at her and just marvel at her, how perfect she is, how she is so tollerant of everything going on around her, she is just amazing.
